LA CAMBUSA is located near the Major Hospital and not far from Goldoni Square, the nerve center of the city. If you can, go on foot or bus or scooter (parking difficulty . The young manager is smiling and extremely courteous (which is not discounted, the service is punctual, discreet and cared for. The room is ordered, large and clean, of setting halfway between the Bavarian, the sea (with interesting navigational relics and the classic Trieste buffet, with dishes and typical snacks at the counter. I recommend to try it at the beginning of the week, so that the choice of dishes is wider and fresher. Good tooth cream (sweet the small portion for the price; good potatoes in smoking tee; improved quality of the mixed fried fish (though I liked it was not unto; non-exciting sweets; good Illy espresso coffee; discreet the Friulano wine of the house. Today, past and read the menu outside, we entered four. The first visual contact was with the dishes ready on the counter, rice meatballs, fried eggplants etc.. we were told that there was no table available and that according to the commands already passed to the cook, the wait would be at least half an hour. We waited for a drink of an excellent IPA beer accompanied by a slice of breaded eggplant. When a table has been released, we ordered, a plate of sliced and cheese as an appetizer, then gnocchi di pane e baccalà mantecato e dentice mantecato. In the center of Trieste a wonderful buffet where you eat and drink really well. My wife tried guitar pasta with turnips and nipples and I got the boiler plate. All really good.
