Nikanor - Trevelin

Trevelin is a pretty small town, it was a beautiful surprise to find such a beautiful restaurant. I went with the family, but it's definitiw for couples.

Eating is good, but a warning for each prospective group of eaters. is located on the menu and prices before ordering. if the owner does not agree, they will go out. we were clearly overloaded as a group and only realized that if we insisted on paying individually and seeing how much each item costs. a group of ten of us was overloaded by $2,000.

Except for the season, the choice was limited. we had bovine lomo and ravioli, both were very good (a little salt was missing, but could be added easily). portions are very generous.

Nikanor is a good and beautiful restaurant to eat in trevelin. nice service, good food, the speciality is the ravioli with smiling.

Nikanor used to be a little outside town until they moved into beautifully renovated new premises just off the main street in Trevelin (the turning opposite Club Fontana/Casino). The whole place is spotlessly clean and spaciously set out. The food is beautifully prepared and reasonably...priced and they have an excellent wine list. I must admit, that I cannot resist the temptation of their lasagne and cannelloni, both served piping hot and bubbling. The restaurant is also deceptively spacious and serves food at lunchtime and in the evenings. For Sunday lunch, there are few better places in the Chubut Andes.
