Crenshaw's Catfish Cookers - Trenton

We had not been to Crenshaw’s in several years, but went with friends last night. It was excellent!!! The fish filets were large and flavorful. The sides were also delicious. Our waitress was great and did a wonderful job. The atmosphere was friendly and we all had a great time.

When I eat here I'm eating fish. The fish and hush puppies are awesome. My daughter loves the vinegar slaw. Only one time I've eaten here has the fish tasted muddy s the reason I gave it a four.

This restaurant is great for family gatherings or a large group of friends who are not interested in drinking. It is a southern style catfish restaurant, but they do have other items besides fish. They also have a separate kid's menu. The restaurant bathrooms are very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is very good and comes in large portions. The prices are very reasonable. The only reason I rated it a 4 star is because of the ambiance. There is really no privacy for smaller groups and you feel as if everybody can hear your conversation. But that is the only negative really. You have to try the Oreo ice cream ball!!

Ate with Mom and wife and catfish was excellent, as was hushpuppies. Country atmosphere is reinforced by rough hewn wood inside and out. There was a party going on in the back and they were enjoying themselves. Waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and helpful. Dinner with dessert was $52.

Crenshaw's is a one of a kind place to eat. No frills, just great food. It's located on the property of an old Christmas tree farm and the restaurant is in an old barn.
