Trenary Home Bakery

I saw a video on the Trenary Cinnamon Toast and thought I would try it. I really don't understand what all the fuss was about since it is merely very hard toast covered in cinnamon sugar. I can see why they suggest dunking it into a drink. It is hard to bite/chew if you don't. Certainly better can be made at home. I will not purchase again.

We stopped by to investigate the Ternary Toast phenomenon while passing through. Unfortunately, the sign on the door says the cafe is permanently closed (maybe a Covid casualty). They do sell their products at a gas station minimart down the street so picked up some bags of toast there and must say it is unique. We brought it home to Kentucky and have enjoyed it very much. Keeps for several months and warms nicely in a microwave in a few seconds. Wish we were closer by and can understand the cult following. Not sure how the cafe was but glad this little local business is still cranking out the Trenary toast.

Reminds me of another brand from my childhood that my grandparents would always have when we would visit them in northern Minnesota. I order their Trenary Toast, as well as the Limpu Rye bread, Cinnamon Raisin bread and other products several times a year as a treat. They always ship the freshest product. It usually takes about a week to up to 10 days from when I order, to receive the package via UPS shipping, which is fine and I plan accordingly.Excellent products, packed and shipped so anyone anywhere can enjoy the Finnish products of the U.P. of Michigan. The Trenary Toast is excellent dipped in milk, tea or coffee or even just as is. Very crunchy and excellent flavor.The Trenary toast will keep for a year in the bag, because of how its baked and the moisture is removed. I wouldn't suggest planning on year old Trenary Toast as a regular snack, but it also doesn't go bad quickly as many baked products do.If you are new to Trenary Toast and the Trenary Bakery products, try the Yooper Box from Trenary Bakery, which has a few flavors of the Toast as well as the Limpu rye bread and you can get cinnamon raisin bread and others.If you like good breads and to try different things, give this a try. It's a nice treat which is different from all of the also ran products on most grocery store shelves.
