Schloss-Hotel Petry - Treis-Karden

We was there in dinner buffet. It is one of the best buffet I have ever taking part of. The waiters looked over the dishes and take care of everything.

Beautiful rooms in the restaurant. Buffet of good food. Great staff of service. nicely decorated interior.

What a wonderful restaurant! We often enjoyed an excellent dinner here on the Mosel. Your set menu is always something special and they have a nice selection of Mosel wines as well as other drinks. In particular, I found the soups to be very tasty. And save space for dessert because it never disappoints!

We were in Cochem from 26. December and where are you going for a nice diner? It's hard in this area in December. I find it very strange that in an area where we all talk about beautiful, great wines, it is very hard to find a really nice restaurant. Tripadvisor couldn't help, so Michelin tried and that brought me here. Had a taxi from Cochem to have the opportunity to drink some famous wines from the Moselle. I made a reservation for the restaurant weeks ago, but still I sat in the “vine bar”. I made sure this was the planning, but the host said it was all the same. We serve the same food in all places. We took the menu (4 courses) with the accompanying (offered) wines. The wines added EUR 18 to the food price, so it didn't seem spectacular and it wasn't. With the meat we have an Italian Chianti!! Why not a red Moselle?? That's why I'm not coming here! At least we started with glass of a local champagne. It was served along with a glass Riesling and the first course. Of course, we wanted to finish our glass of champagne (sect) before we eat, but that didn't work so much where worried we didn't eat our starter. The in between was a spice soup with chili peppers, very nice, but I really need a glass of wine with it. I tried, but I couldn't taste what it was. The food was a race against time. It was hard to keep up with the waitress. When we had the main course, a really nice piece of meat, we ordered an additional glass of red wine (the Chianti). We got it and it was a really full-fledged glass of wine, but with in 3 minutes after getting the additional glass of red, the next course the desert also served with a wine. I drank the extra red and started with my desert (my wife didn't make the desert). It must have been my (black) taste, but the desert was beautiful and the wine was really terrible with it (for me). An evening of simple food was a race against the clock. If we have already left most people, it may be common here. But we would like to have a little more time to enjoy.

Had a meeting there and were satisfied with a part of the buffet food excellent starters and very nice arranged and delicious dessert. The actual buffet offers a lot of meat, not really to our taste, and traditional German dishes. Certainly not bad, the carnivores liked it, but not suitable for us and there was no real choice. But I got a vegetarian soup as an appetizer very delicious pumpkin soup and was happy. Overnight. The hotel is quite old and we had a very small room with an old bathroom. She didn't look very welcoming. And not even a small courtesy bottle of water in the room, although it was not cheap.
