S2s Sugar 2 Salt - Traverse City

This might just be the best restaurant in the world—okay, maybe that's not entirely accurate, but having dined at some phenomenal restaurants globally, we truly believe this place is exceptional. Every time we visit Traverse City (which is about twice a year), our absolute must-do is to have a meal here. The food is simply outstanding. I'm so impressed that I wish I could invest in their business! Just yesterday, we enjoyed quiche, bacon, pancakes, corned beef, pastries, and cider, and everything was incredibly delicious. If I could give it 7 stars out of 5, I would! Bravo!

We ordered several dishes: the chicken sandwich, quiche, eggs with bacon, and a raspberry walnut scone. The chicken sandwich was fantastic—full of flavor, but quite large and difficult to eat as a whole; I ended up using a fork and knife, but it was definitely worth the effort. The quiche was also very tasty, although I felt that the sauce at the bottom would have been better served on top or on the side. The bacon with the eggs was cooked perfectly and was absolutely amazing. However, the eggs were not prepared as I had requested; I ordered them poached hard, but they came out as regular poached eggs. While they were good, they didn’t meet my request. The raspberry walnut scone was incredible! I took off one star due to the extended wait time, but overall, it was a fantastic dining experience!

Without a doubt, this place is a strong contender for the best brunch in the area. It was difficult to make a choice from the menu since everything looked amazing! The menu is quite seasonal, and the food is not only visually stunning but also tastes even better than it appears. If you are sensitive to noise, the acoustics in the restaurant could be a bit overwhelming, but my ears haven’t been the same since my twenties, so it’s not an issue for me.

Look no further! We would have every meal here ?. Risotto was creamy and Rich. Coffee was delicious. Fresh cherry juice, homemade Chai mix, pastries were fresh, salad fresh, homemade blueberry jam comes with the toast. Porridge gives you entree envy soooo good. Thank you for sharing your amazing chef skills with us. We will return when coming back to TC!
