Constancia Restaurant - Traralgon

I haven't been there since my last review of the restaurant when I mentioned that in my opinion they need to change their menu as it hasn't changed for years. I was given a gift voucher for my birthday so a friend and I went for lunch.Yes, the same old menu again. It was a cold, windy, wet day and I wanted something hot to eat but unfortunately for me there was nothing new to try unless of course I wanted one of the 6 or 7 varieties of risotto on the menu. I have never liked risotto. So, again I had gnocchi.Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the gnocchi, but not eating risotto doesn't leave many hot choices on the lunch menu to choose from. Out of the 10 or so choices on the 1st page of the menu, 7 choices would be risotto!!!The service was slow - 5 other tables were taken, 2 waiting staff on duty - and we waited 30 minutes for our order.For me, the disappointing thing is that this was my favourite restaurant but has definitely not challenged itself to stay among the top eateries in Traralgon of which there is an over-abundance.Sad and disappointing.

A group of friends and I had dinner at this restaurant and were disappointed by the slow service & limited menu.On the night that we had dinner there was only a small number of customers yet it took almost an hour & a half to get our meals.Very disappointing overall.

A group of 13 of us met for lunch to celebrate a friends birthday. We are a happy noisy bunch who laugh a lot and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. All of the meals were great. The Moroccan spiced chicken salad is awesome. Friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. Comfortable relaxed atmosphere all made for a great day out with friends. We will all be back :)

We hadn't planned to have lunch out but because of gaps in medical appointments decided to try Constancia as friends had told us about it. We only needed a light lunch so both had the potato gnocci with seared scallops. This was a great dish and the sauce was to die for. We couldn't manage all of it, but were so impressed with the delicious flavours and the size of the scallops! What a delightful find for an unexpected lunch date!The staff were very accommodating and as we only required water and not wine, still gave us table service top ups. Well done - we will be back to try what looked to be a great selection on the dinner menu.

There were 5 of us who had our Christmas breakup at Constancia, the service was great and the food was fabulous. I was very disappointed with the size of the meal, I ordered flathead tails . I have had flathead tails at lots of restaurants but never ever as small as the serving which Constancia plated. There were 2 very tiny tails and no more.
