Railway - Trafford

Myself and my husband stayed in Hale overnight before we flew from manchester airport the next morning. We had a wander about and fancied a drink and stopped at The Railway for this, we were hungry (as we always are! Lol) so asked if they were serving food, they said they were, but only a small menu of Pies with mash and gravy, at first I was hesitant as I wouldn’t normally order this, but the names of the pies sounded homemade and at a price of £6 it was a bargain so I ordered a Leicester cheese and onion and my husband ordered the steak and ale, the food came out in a timely manner (and this was a Saturday night our visit, at around 8:15pm) We were really surprised, the peas were boiling, the mash tasted freshly mashed and the pies... well the pies were filled to the brim and tasted delicious!!!! The atmosphere was quite tame for a Saturday night, so it wasn’t rowdy or anything in there. The manager (owner maybe) was very polite and overall a great Experience! Great quality, great price and we are glad we decided on this rather than pizza express!

Lively local robinsons pub that has football and rugby on TV screens in each room. local are friendly and the pub is very well protected. the dizzy blonde is well kept and the guinness was also on shape

Great little sound. we were in an airport hotel and had a trip to hale for something to eat. pie was great north pies £6 absolute steal for this fabulous food x

The railway has been our open day evening early doors for years. there is always a good choice of beer. the personal is always friendly. alan has made a great task to keep the railway as a good old fashion alcohol.
