Criterion Hotel - TRAFALGAR

Popped in for a quick lunch and wishing we didn’t. Oysters Kilpatrick over cooked oysters smelt fishy and were the size of sultans. Mussels, many not open lots with the shells broken and the meat inside were a cross between rubber bands and exploded mussel meat as a chef I was very disappointed

We were running late for lunch, so before my husband parked the car, I went in to ask if we were too late for lunch. Luckily, the kitchen takes orders until 2.30pm. We decided to have the roast special, which was more than enough for me. I gave one of the huge slices of pork to my husband. The vegetables were nicely cooked, and the meal included apple sauce and gravy. I have already recommended this place to all my friends as a great stop for a reasonably priced and ample meal while on the road.

Good food- reasonably priced no long wait at all definitely be back. Limited menu but quite varied. Lashings of tomato sauce

My family dined at this restaurant over the weekend and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes and prompt delivery of our meals (not an easy feat to serve 18 meals all at once).

My husbands steak was cold, dry and too tough to eat. Supposedly was a scotch fillet. Told the waiter but no response from the kitchen. My pumpkin risotto was greasy. Our table of seven agreed to meet elsewhere next time.
