Plaza Diner - Town of New Paltz

NY diner that has everything and all of it good . The make their own corned beef hash! Perfect to my liking home fries, Greek souvlaki is excellent.

My husband and I where on our way back home in Connecticut from a long couple days of hiking with our daughter , we googled nearby places and picked the closest one , I’m so happy we found this diner . For starters our waitress Mary was so welcoming and acomadating her service was excellent . Our daughter Petra loved her . We ordered the gravy and cheese fries and they where excellent , the clam strips where good . I got the steak ums sandwich and loved it and my husband the fried shrimp . The Galaktoboureko dessert is out of this world and we will be taking the 3 Hr drive for a day trip to have it again ? Great diner food and worth the stop for the dessert alone.

They easily accommodated our walk-in party of 13. Food was great all around. Our go-to place for brunch whenever we are in town.

Stopped in while traveling through my old college town, feeling nostalgic for a place I’d been so many times (in the early 90’s). I swear to you not one thing was different. It is EXACTLY the same, and not in a cool way. Mildew smell, or maybe old cigarettes. Same decor, same floor, same tables, same everything. We ordered fries, which were fine. But in general, ugh.

Food was meh, pretty basic. Cost was very reasonable though. Building is quite old and smelled of cigarette smoke.
