Cochecton Fire Station

I haven't visited this place since last year, but I absolutely loved it. The owner and the bartender were incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. I can't wait to come back soon!

We started with two house-made sodas, which may seem like a minor detail, but I believe that fresh, house-made beverages are far superior to anything store-bought. The drinks were fantastic, and I regretted not ordering a cocktail, though I preferred to stay sober for the drive home. The food was excellent—not only was it delicious, but the portions were generous and beautifully presented. My only minor complaint was the wood-fired toasted rye bread, which was a bit too rough on the roof of my mouth. I appreciated the concept, though; perhaps a shorter time in the oven would have made it perfect. Overall, this slight issue didn’t detract from the experience at all. I would definitely return if I'm in the area again, and I highly recommend the hasselback potatoes, mac and cheese, and spinach artichoke dip. Everything was outstanding!

I was staying in Cochecton for the weekend and was across the street basically from the Cochecton Fire Station. We decided to check it out for dinner one night, and we were glad that we did! As soon as you walk in you're greeted with warmth. We tried a couple of things on the menu and had a drink each. All were delicious! It's definitely cozy and comfortable and would recommend if you're in the area.

We had a fantastic first experience! Both the food and service were excellent. We tried two specialty cocktails each and shared the carrot and raisin salad, mac and cheese, ginger pork, and Cuban corn. My top picks were the ginger pork and mac and cheese! All three bartenders who served us were knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely return!

We loved this find! Limited menu that packs a punch with flavor and upscale flair. Would recommend for anyone in the area or traveling through. Outdoor seating in the summer is dog friendly!
