Turks Head - Tower Hamlets

It was extremely cold inside, even when bundled up in a blanket and overcoat. The service was very slow and the food was tasty but lukewarm.

The service at this restaurant was excellent and the food was delicious. The music was a little loud and the song selection was unusual, but our fantastic server Sue was able to lower the volume and improve our experience right away. We had a wonderful evening and would definitely come back. The charming and unique atmosphere of the old pub added to the cozy feel of the place.

Was to be the highlight of our London trip. Such a quirky and atmospheric venue, I loved it! Looking forward to seeing the evening’s menu as the online sample menu was very French but sadly didn’t live up to expectations. We were the only customers for our early evening booking. I understand that a small menu can provide a better quality dish and having the restaurant to ourselves could also have been a positive experience but sadly that wasn’t the case. The wine list was expensive wine but our selection was delicious. First course was limited, didn’t reflect the sample menu and our first choice was not available. Reluctantly chose steak for a main dish as there was little else to chose from; it was cooked to my liking and huge but sadly too tough to eat. Accompaniments and sides were sad and we left without dessert because a take away ice cream was more appealing.

We had a wonderful team breakfast at a fantastic hidden gem in London this morning. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the ambiance was lovely.

I was taken here by my family for a fairly big birthday a couple of weeks ago and have to say, yet again, it was exceptional. The food was great and the service outstanding. It is a bit of a haul for us to get there (we live outside London but the children don't! and if it was closer I would definitely become a regular..
