Tower Travel Center - Tower City

This is a mandatory stop on I 94, the coffee is hot, the baked goods are fresh, and if you're lucky you might pick up a little local news in the cafe. Back to the baked goods. I must mention Tower City is known for having the best pie on the interstate, I recommend the walnut cream if it's available. If the cafe is not open, they have some mighty fine premade egg salad.

I might have visited at a bad time, as I went in mid-morning. The bakery and deli sections were nearly empty, with very few customers around. I didn't receive a greeting or any acknowledgment from the staff. Additionally, there was a small shop selling overpriced cold sandwiches.

The bathrooms were dirty, and the soda was expired. I wouldn't recommend stopping here. It's disappointing to see such a new-looking building in such poor condition.

The food is excellent! I work there, and we have a fantastic menu featuring pies, cookies, and various types of bars.
