The food was impressive, earning a solid 4 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Wings and Pub Fries—they were absolutely delicious! The service was also commendable, maintaining a friendly and efficient atmosphere throughout the evening. Overall, I enjoyed the ambiance, which had a pleasant and inviting vibe, making it a great spot for dinner.
Our server was wonderful and very friendly. The food at this restaurant is unique, while also featuring some classic dishes. The Reuben tots were delicious, and the crab burger was exceptional. In our group of six, everyone enjoyed their meal and finished their plates.
I want to start by saying that I absolutely love the O'Neils in Pine Grove. However, this particular location is a bit different. Let's kick things off with the appetizer: the boom boom shrimp. Honestly, it was the worst I've ever had. They were heavily breaded and so tiny that you could barely taste the shrimp. It felt like they were just frozen, out-of-a-bag shrimp — many were just clumped breading with hardly any shrimp at all. I included a picture below for reference; I unbreaded one and placed it next to a lemon, and it was about the size of a fingernail, with a texture reminiscent of rubber. My suggestion for the restaurant is simple: consider using 6-8 large, fresh shrimp in your boom boom sauce. I would order that without hesitation. Next, I tried the haddock stuffed with a jumbo lump crab cake. Unfortunately, there was hardly any crab meat, and I nearly chipped a tooth on a piece of crab shell. On the bright side, the haddock itself was good, and the service was excellent — the staff was very friendly. I plan to return because I believe every restaurant deserves a few chances to impress.
Always a great meal and great service! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Great food for a small town pub. The crab cakes are fantastic! The food selection is decent. We didn't wait too long for our food. The margaritas are good, but a bit pricey. There were a handful of draft beer options, which also isn't common for the area. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
