This is one of my favorite restaurants and it can never impress. it's getting better. unbeatable, simple but super cooked French cuisine. excellent service. reasonable prices including the wine. the nearby chateau de berne may be more prestigious, but its up to date will be a little lax and too expensive.
We ate here Sunday dinner with friends and eating, service and ambiente were all excellent. they fulfilled the Covid regulations that were well seen and the tables were very spaced apart. the lunch menu is not a la carte, but the choices (2...each curs) were in order, the quality and presentation very good and excellent price-performance ratio below 40 €.
We had a very enjoyable lunch for 6 in the wonderful shaded outside dining area. This is a beautiful setting and the. Iews, from anywhere in Tourtour are great. The only underwhelming daisy was the scallops, still OK but not of the standard I would...expect. High quality wine list which was predictably reasonably expensive. Service was very friendly but probably could be considered slow. It took ages to be asked for drinks and then to receive water. On balance though, worth the visit for a higher quality dining experience in a great location.
I have never ever experience such a disaster of a lunch. The restaurant is beautifully located in the area of Tourtour. Beatyful building, beatyfuly decorated and from the restaurant at the terrasse you have an amazing view to the area and the Maures Mountins. We...had high expectations when we first sat down in the shadow of the trees. Then we waited ....for the menu. Then we waited for water.....Then for wine....We ordered two menues costing 35 euro consisting of starter, main course and dessert. What a barging. We thought. Then we waited.... After 30 minutes the starters came. One of which was not what we had ordered, so it had to go back to the kitchen. Then we waited....Finally we got the right starter. Everything tasting okay. Then we waited.for 45 minutes for the main course. A simple dish of a steak and vegetables. We ordered it to be medium. It was raw. So it had to go back to the kitchen. Then we waited....When it came back it had been cut into halves and cooked in a microwave together with the sides. Everything, the meat, the potatoes and the vegetables were spoiled. After two hours we had only had a starter, a bottle of wine and a bottle of water. Besides a spoiled main dish, which we did not want to eat. Furthermore, during these two hours nobody payed us any attention. Nobody. We had it, and asked for the bill. Unnecessary to say, but we won’t come back
