Very good reception, attentive and smiling waiter. Top chef, superb flavors of dishes and excellent quality of products. Satisfied 100
We happened upon this little gem by chance but it made our day trip to Saumur. A perfect two course lunch in the sunshine with yummy wine and a delicious coffee. The ‘amouse bouche’ of apricot and goats cheese was a lovely surprise. We then followed with a local paupiette in filo pastry (called a brick) and salmon with beetroot, followed by fish. Yummy yummy can’t recommend it enough.
The week before we had eaten in the sister restaurant of L'Appart Flexitarion and the waiter recommended we visit here for seafood and we were not disappointed. It is best to book ahead because it is a small place. The friendly waitress checked our pass sanitaire and then I enjoyed started of smoked salmon served with spinach leaves and chunks of melon all sprinkled with sesame seeds. Nice and light and tasty. Then I had a fillet of Pollack with a fragrant sauce accompanied by carrot puree and romanesque broccoli. Perfectly filleted and very tasty. We had a bottle of Quincy white wine which was very good. For pudding I took the brownie which was gorgeous and stodgy. Little decaf to round off a lovely meal. The service was very attentive and friendly. 169€ for 3 people (Apero/3courses/ Pricy wine/ coffee) is not cheap but I would come back again.
This is a tiny little restaurant, and has a very small menu three choices of starter, three choices of main and three choices of dessert. The staff are very friendly (although you may need to brush up on your French because communication in English was limited). The food was delicious!
