La Cave Se Rebiffe - Tours

We walked through the medieval city of Tours looking for a spot to eat and tried to get away from the central crowded area and stumbled upon this gem of a wine bar/restaurant and wish we could return ! Fabulous eclectic wine selection and the owner is very knowledgable and let us see his cave (which is incredible). The food was delicious and I recommend it to anyone especially if they wish to sample wines other than the Loire Valley selections. Excellent service and food!

We were a bit tired from a long day of wine touring. I know, so sad) and looking for a place close to our Airbnb but away from the crowd. We were checking out the menu posted outside when two people eating stopped long enough to tell us the food was excellent. Ok then! My wife ordered the smoked salmon sandwich while I went for the duck burger. OMG. So good. The salmon sandwich was open faced and delicious, per my wife. The duck wasn’t ground duck but slices of perfectly cooked duck breast with carmamelized onions with a bearnaise sauce. Served with a local Vouvray wine.

Very nice experience in this establishment located in a quiet little pedestrian street of the old towers. Good products and good welcome from the boss who does not hesitate to share his knowledge. The proposed wine trilogy is perfect. Have more access to a nice cellar where you can go choose your bottle! The map is accessible in terms of prices we have spent a good time. Thanks again.
