The Frog & Rosbif - Toulouse

It's been a while I don't go out at night and it was a very nice surprise to discover this pub with a group of friends. We had an amazing time and since we were celebrating the birthday of one my friends, the DJ played "happy birthday" and someone brought a cake with a candle! Very gentle! I loved my blue burger! I strongly recommend this pub.

Nice burgers cooked in front of you, friendly service and a decent choice of beers on tap, all brewed by the company.

We regularly visit the Frog n Rosbif in Bordeaux so, when we planned our trip to Toulouse the Frog n Rosbif was an essential visit. Unfortunately it did not come up to expectations. We visited on the Sunday evening and there was only one other customer so the atmosphere was non existent. We were served by a barmaid who was fine but unfortunately the beer we chose wasn't too good. It was possibly getting old and sadly real ale soon shows it's age. The barmaid did ask if everything was alright and we didn't complain so,to be fair, we can't now say too much. The following night we met some friends in there and chose a different beer which was much better. We also tried a sharing platter of chips, cheese and pulled pork which was excellent so had a better night. The pub did have a few more customers so the atmosphere was much better.

Not sure what this place is trying to be. The name implies that it is more British but the food has a very American slant. The space lacks atmosphere and is a bit cold and uninviting. Beer however was good and the service attentive. I understand this is a small chain perhaps the owners need to put more effort and tlc.
