Mamie Et Les Ours - Toulouse

We stumbled on this place for lunch and it was absolutely perfect. Really authentic French food, great prices and lovely friendly staff. I wish we had time to go back, and can't recommend it enough. We had 3 courses and each was delicious. Perfect beef, soft cake, great wine. So good.

The room is fairly small, probably fitting no more than 30 people in a semi-dense configuration. We were in a group of 7, having called to reserve about an hour or two ahead of time.The service was not fast; it was a little over an hour between sitting down and the food arriving, but definitely worth the wait. Our server was quite polite and somewhat funny, which plays well with the relaxed ambience. The menu offering is not very large: 4 or 5 side dishes (i.e. tapas), 3 or 4 main dishes, and 3 or 4 desserts. I had two side dishes and a dessert, which in all made for a filling meal. All the dishes were very well prepared, and felt very fresh.The prices ranged between 3€ and 8€ for the sides, 14€ to 16€ for the main dishes, and around 4€ or 5€ for the desserts. My total was 17.50€, without drinks (only had water), plus a shot, on the house.Will certainly recommend to friends and come back again!
