Le Bistrot de l'Etoile - Toulouse

We were here last, three years ago and came regularly. Returning to Toulouse we were anxious to re-visit one of our favourite eatery's. Discovered the former owners sold the place 2 years ago but the food is as good as ever, the ambience and welcome as warm as ever and value the same. Service was friendly, helpful and prompt.We had the duck carpaccio and fois gras to start, both excellent, followed by magret de canard for me and dorade for my wife again excellent and very filling - you won't leave feeling hungry here! The wine list is modest both in selection and prices OK.We later met the owner who was celebrating his birthday and gave us a tasting of two very good malt whiskies he'd received as gifts, a nice gesture. We look forward to returning in the Autumn.

Descobrimos esse restaurant por indicação de um amigo é simplesmente foi a nossa melhor refeição nos 10 dias que ficamos em toulouse. like every restaurant per lá, and recommended fazer reservation no site. tem menu em inglês e os atendentes são atentiosas. não deixe of eating or magret as main prato e os profiteroles de sobremesa.

I booked for three people at 2pm for Sunday lunch on the 4th June and received a text confirming the booking. Unfortunately when we arrived the restaurant was closed. I have checked again on their website and it clearly states open Sunday lunch.It is very difficult to find somewhere else to eat at this time on Sunday. So the food may be good, the service may be exceptional, we will never know. What we do know is their website and booking system is rubbish. A massive inconvenience and a disappointment.

I recommend! very good reception, excellent cuisine, in a warm bistro atmosphere. very nice staff, we exchanged and had advice for our visit.

I go to this restaurant on a regular basis at noon. I've never been disappointed. It is a traditional cuisine in a vintage setting. I've never tested in the evening. Be careful, you better book.
