Extreme Times Require Extreme Measures To Save The Day ! We were looking for delicious comfort food to order to celebrate New Year's Day and found Big Forno ! What a great choice we made ! We ordered a Dlavola, a Regina and a Tarfufflata ! The 3 of them were generously and freshly prepared ! A real blast ! Enjoy the pics we made for you !
Reservation made for a Thursday evening. Arrived at 7:45, there was no big world, but the piece quickly filled. Very welcoming staff, no waiting times (almost embarrassed to ask for a little time to enjoy the atmosphere). Excellent pizza, idem for tiramisu. Price more than reasonable for a truly state-of-the-art kitchen and service. I'll be right back.
Friday, 25 March 2022 We're going out around 11:30 to take our lunch in town. We walk along the Canal du Midi to visit the avenue Honoré Serres. We have lunch in Forno Gusto "Alitalien street food". The friendly and smiling Lily, with bright eyes, is our hostess. We opt for a pizza meal; a Neapolitan with four cheeses, mozzarella fior di latte, parmesan, smoked provolone and gorgonzola, for Patrick and a Roman Rectangular Pala Ortolana tomato cherry, mozzarella, pepper, onion, eggplant and zucchini for me. I take pictures when making pizza made by pizzaioli from Italy. The decor worthy of Fellini films offers a beautiful palette of Italian artifacts that fills the eyes on the promenade. The circular pizza oven is impressive by its size and harmonious lines. A large swivel tray turns into an inner loop. The restaurant manager takes time to chat with me and takes a picture of me in front of the famous Red Fiat 500, the emblem of Forno Gusto. The Big Forno group, founded by Raffaele Targusi who spent his childhood in the Rome area to make pizzas with his grandparents, offers authentic and contemporary Italian cuisine through its four concepts of restaurants. Born, Toulouse for eleven years, the director has been working at the restaurant for several years. At the table next to my right, two mothers and their child stayed in a good mood. Three beautiful young women come to occupy the table on my left. The first arrival asks us how we are going. Friendliness seems natural in the restaurant and it is very pleasant after months of faceless human beings. For dessert, we fear for two parts of tiramisu, one with pistachio and the other with coffee. We share candy. Customer turnover is regular and almost all tables are busy. Feeling surrounded by his companions in a wellness area invites to renew this remarkable culinary adventure...
I had a great experience tonight in this restaurant, the waiters were in little care and very friendly. The appetizer of mozzarella was delicious. A special mention for the roof that is very pleasant in this period!
