Northam Fish - Torridge

The fish and chips at this restaurant were excellent. I would have given them a 5-star rating, but unfortunately, I only had cash and couldn't figure out how to do a bank transfer. I had to leave to find an ATM.

Friendly staff. good quality chips and the big cod resembles a whale. only on the bottom is that they make their own big fish cakes, which a sphere of fish and maean potato love, but they no longer make

I visited this restaurant tonight, as we only eat fish and chips when on vacation. I was impressed by the generous portion size and the fact that I was able to swap my cup of tea for a diet drink as part of the daily special. I deduct one star because there were too many mushy peas on the plate...and I'm not a fan of peas. The piece of cod spanned the length of the plate and was delicious. I was surprised to learn that this restaurant ranked only 77 out of 110 places to eat in the area. I would personally rank it much higher on the list.

Ordered cod, chips and peas yesterday for evening collection. Food was excellent, lovely fish with crisp, light batter lovely chips and good peas. Very happy with the portion size and well priced. Staff were really friendly and covid safe. Looking forward to our next delicious...meal!
