Menapace - Torri del benaco

Each year a pleasure to return! Each year even better... couldnt advice another restaurant more than this one for real italian food !!!!

On the coast of Lake Garda headed to our hotel looking for lunch. We found Hotel Menapace Ristorante. Nice water view. I ordered the gnocchi with smoked local fish and Hubby had the tagliatelle with duck ragu (11E each) . Both dishes had nice flavor. The gnocchi was big (sometimes too big) and soft. The fish was delicious. Tagliatelle was cooked perfectly and there was plenty of duck in the ragu. On the expensive side, but enjoyable. There was a bite that was exceptional: a chunk of Parmesan with a sweet chili sauce. Not much but memorable what's not to like? Well, finding those chilies in the states! That could be a task.

We stopped for lunch on our way round Lake Garda and were pleasantly surprised by the inventive and not expensive menu. We got bufala with peas and roasted cherry tomatoes for starter and then gnochi and tagliatelle as man course. Chef sent also interesting amuse bouche in the very beginning which I imagen vary each day.

Stasera ho cenato in questo posto elegantemente arredato. risotto con la stupefacente tinca, eccellente, prezzi (gli antipasti un po' alti ma la freschezza degli ingredienti e la presentazione dei piatti possono giustificarli

Ottima cucina. Il menù è principalmente a base di pesce del lago, ed unisce tradizione e innovazione. Il cliente percepisce subito la capacita dello chef di trovare le giuste soluzioni grazie alle proprie capacità in cucina. Tutto ben fatto e curato, dagli antipasti al dolce, passando ovviamente dal servizio sempre super disponibile e gentile.
