By far the best food we have had in Cancun. Genuine, no frills, authentic Mexican/Yucateca food. Sopa de lima (chicken soup with lime juice, topped with shredded chicken and pieces of tortilla) and Cochinita Pibil, a Yucatan specialty of pork (probably pork shoulder) marinated in sour orange juice and spices and then cooked. The traditional way is wrapped in banana leaves and cooked for a very long time in a pit in the ground, but I doubt they did this in the middle of the city of Cancun. So probably in the oven. Spectacularly good! No alcohol and no credit cards, though you can pay with dollars if you're short on pesos. Closed Tuesdays and it closes at 8 PM on other days. I may go back there tomorrow for breakfast, which looks outstanding.
