Contribuiți la feedbackIt's another big old pub I drove over hundreds of times. is located on the henley beach road opposite little canton and right down from the foodland, there are many parking spaces on the back with a car by bottle shop, pokies, live music, pokies and all trims. there is a functional space in the upper floor and the night we were there, it was used by a buck’s night, but it is clearly well isolated because no peep has interrupted our meal. very friendly staff took our orders and it came all soon. there were three of us. ordered cheese variety garlic brot, a white plate and a bark carving with gravur plus a round beverage in soft drink, a juice and an apple wine. the bride plate had two well filled bark slide, about a dozen buffalo wing and two arancini. together with the garlic bread this was divided between the year old sohn and his mother, which also helped to a fair piece salat from my carving plate.
I fought here today for lunch that I loved the mood of the place that it is very old world glamm. service and greeting from the bar staff was good, fast table service delivered fast. with regard to the dishes I had the lens and Haloumi salad and my mate had both pictured the cortex ribs. the bark ribs were boiled for perfection and the bone trims drop well cooked. the salat was quite good, haloumi and lenses cooked well just what I will say it needed a piece of lemon juice to lift the whole dish except that I could not mistake it. Overall I think it's a nice place to lunch or dinner, the inner is quite charming and I liked the whole experience. always hungry for this.
A family outing for lunch on a Sunday - 20 folks. Plentiful parking caters well for the older folks whilst internally, a nice refined decor, with a 1920's 'deco' twist. Friendly enough staff and reasonable range, also suited to folks on a pension. I ordered atlantic salmon with bok choy, mushrooms and soy. I still remember the first bite of the mushroom, that just melted - a delight. A somewhat 'light' meal that I supplemented with some of the wifes pizza to assist my running training. Good venue that caters well for large groups.
I don't go to pubs a great deal and the experience of the Hotel Royal on Henley Beach Road was very positive. Clean modern interior with plenty of casual seating in the bar area next to the Bistro. Right from the start the service was spot on with a friendly greeting, explanation about the menu if we were interested in eating there, and the offer of ice cold water - wonderful on a 40 degree day! We chose to order in the bar, and the lamb salad and Caesar salad were both fresh and good size serves - excellent value for money. The area overlooking Henley Beach Road was relaxing with a choice of stools or bucket lounge seats and the volume of the cricket and the music was just right. A very pleasant experience overall. Summary: Excellent customer service - many could learn from the staff member who served us!. Food was fresh, served quickly and at $18 were good value. Great menu choices including burgers, pizzas and standards like fish and steak just to name a... read more
