This restaurant requires getting off the beaten track a little…but it is worth the drive. I was struck by the exuberance of the staff, the relaxedness of the venue, and the delight of the deck. My meal, however, put it over the top. I began with a Burratini with fried speck and local berries. The flavors were perfect together and each bite was a delight. For dinner I chose the venison ragu with Bigoli pasta it was divine not gamey, rich in flavor. For dessert the Tiramisu. Decadent, creamy, the best custard texture. All of the above areas accompanied by fabulous and friendly service, fabulous sparkling wines, and a coffee digestive. Please go…you will not be disappointed.
Such friendly service and amazing local food. Price level is very affordable, 85 euros for 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids).
Siamo andati in questo posto davvero molto bello, con prezzi nella media, cibo e strutture eccellenti, il tutto preparato in casa dal proprietario. Torneremo sicuramente per provare il resto del menu.
My husband and I went to Ai Molini for Sunday lunch recently. First of all, we were surprised, having seen that every other restaurant in the area was booked solid, that Ai Molini was virtually empty. By the end of the meal, our surprise had vanished. The food was quite strangely prepared and served, and was very mediocre. The staff were nice, which is why I am giving it three stars instead of one or two. What was supposed to be an involtino of melanzane turned out to be a bowl containing slices of hot melanzane draped across a big dollop of ricotta, swimming in tomato sauce. Pretty strange, I thought, but pleasantly edible. For our main course, we ordered the mixed grill of meat, which was for two people, and were quite shocked by the size of the portion. When we registered our alarm the waitress told us we could get a doggy bag! We did our best, but only managed to get through about half of it. What a waste; we don't even have a dog! To be honest, the people running the restaurant are very nice people and it is well located in the Euganean Hills, easy to get to, but perhaps they need to get a better chef. We eat out a lot and this was not up to the usual standard for other establishments in the area.
