La Zia Teresa - TORRE DEL GRECO

We were welcomed immediately upon entering. As we were having an early lunch, there was no one else there. I originally thought that couldn’t be good, but I was SO wrong. There was no English menu but with our server’s broken English and my even more broken Italian, we made it work. Each dish is cooked to order so everything is super fresh. I ordered Penne Pomodoro and it was without a doubt the best I’ve ever had our server the second night was kind enough to get the recipe for us). The rustica bread was amazing. My husband had the cacio e pepe and said the taste belied the simplicity of the dish. We went back tonight for a a caprese salad so fresh), fried polenta and another penne Pomodoro. The servers and chefs were very friendly. The restaurant wasn’t open when we arrived but the server invited us to sit which we appreciated after walking all day). PLUS my husband left his shirt there the first day. When he went back, the restaurant was closed, but someone called the owner and they opened the store so he could retrieve it. We will probably go back again before we leave

It's a great outside terrace, as well as inside seating, but eating outside with the sea, boats, sunset, Vesuvius and Torre del Greco it's amazing! Food was just divine as well..... It's a must in beautiful Napoli!!
