Whenever in Bergamo, we always take the time to go Don Luis ' for good Northern Italian food with a modern touch. Their foiade, homemade pasta shaped like small lasagnas, are worth the trip. The owners of the restaurant, who personally assist the customers with the menu, are originally from Veneto, and some of the dishes, like the baccala, combine Bergamo, once a Venetian city but now in Lombardy, with Veneto. The wine list is small, but well chosen and very affordable. Polenta and, for the brave of heart, lumache, guarantee a touch of the authentic. For those who don 't care about that, the menu is friendly and with a large selection. Too bad the restaurant is not located in Bergamo and requires some planning to go there. Worth the trip.
