Scardino's Italian - Torrance

Food is great so much selections and so is wine, so much to choose from. Most of all, their service is outstanding.

This restaurant is an absolute gem in the neighborhood. The menu is exceptional, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent. It’s a fantastic family-owned establishment that consistently excels in every aspect. I highly recommend it!

For our main courses, we had the Linguine Pescatore, which was packed with seafood, and a special dish—though I can’t recall the name—that featured Linguine with Scallops and Asparagus in a creamy Pesto Sauce. It was fabulous! To top it all off, we shared a piece of Tiramisu, and we just couldn’t stop eating it. Given our wonderful experience, we will definitely be back, and we hope our waitress Rebecca will be there too. We can’t wait to return!

We started with steamed mussels, which they graciously prepared in a garlic and butter sauce instead of the tomato-based option listed on the menu. The sauce was so delicious that we couldn’t resist dipping our garlic bread in it after finishing the mussels. I can't get enough of the linguine pescatore; it's absolutely divine and has become a craving of mine. The portion sizes are generous, and the seafood selection is impressive, featuring mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp, and crab. My husband ordered the penne reggiano, and my son opted for penne with pesto sauce. Everything was incredibly tasty!

What took us so long to try this wonderful Italian restaurant just a couple of miles from home? We will certainly make up for lost time now. Everything we tried was excellent, topped off by a very nice featured Barbera at a reasonable price. Our waiter is a very nice young man who happens to be the grandson of the owner and when we told him it was our first time, he treated us to a delicious cannoli for dessert. A word of advice though--this is a small and popular place so make a reservation.
