Pollo Loco - Torrance

Sat in the buddy drive through line for about 15 minutes. Ordered the family meal. We picked it up without a glitch. When we got home, the food was okay except the chicken?the main reason for going here, right? The chicken drumsticks and thighs looked like they had been cooked several hours earlier and sat under heat lamps ever after. The pieces were shriveled. The skin was very dark and dehydrated almost like leather. The meat was very dry. Disgusting. I?ll never go back.

Used to be great a few years back. I?ve never had such bad customer service like this. The person who took the order sounded like she didn?t even want to work. She was very annoyed of everything. Served my food sideways and ended up spilling the oils from the chicken into the bag. Even a few of the salsa packets were spilling out. What happened? If she had a bad day, go home. Why tf you working and making other people miserable?

I noticed there were long lines during lunch, and I've seen similar complaints. They might need to add one more staff member. However, the chicken tortilla soup is absolutely fantastic!

When I got to the window, the cashier apologized and asked what side orders I wanted. I paid and waited yet again. The entire time, they were blasting rap music so loud from the dining area that it was hard to hear them when they asked me questions. When I asked for a sauce, the cashier went to get it but stopped to chat with a coworker about his schedule. Seriously?! I had been in the drive-thru for at least 30-40 minutes by this point. I was done with this place. And to top it all off, just look at the mac and cheese they gave me—absolutely disgusting! Stay away from this place!

This was the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had at an El Pollo Loco. The tables were dirty, and when I approached the counter, I noticed that the cooking area was filthy as well. The counters, tables, and floors were all in poor condition, and the trash cans were left overflowing. The pictures truly capture how unclean it was.
