Kantaro Sushi - Torrance

One of my favorite spots in Torrance for quality sushi. They’re typically open for lunch, close for a break, then reopen for omakase-only dinner. However for COVID, they’ve established a takeout only menu that features what you’d usually find on the lunch menu! My absolute favorite thing to order is the $25 sushi supreme. 10 piece nigiri, and either California or spicy tuna roll. Served with miso soup and salad. The quality of the sushi is great for the price, and I’m always full and happy after. My only feedback would be to use less rice in the nigiri. I’ve also done the $50 omakase dinner multiple times. again, I think omakase at this price and quality is unmatched. So many courses, dishes are straightforward but top quality, and you leave STUFFED.

Super fresh, deliciously prepared fish. It's not a fancy restaurant, feels very mom and pop. The food speaks for itself.

The sushi was so good. It literally melted like butter in my mouth. I also love the fried fish. Definitely, a must go place.

Reservation only! very private dining experience. this is the best value omakase I know of in the South Bay. great service, awesome food, and knife skills.
