Benihana Torrance, Ca

I’m highly disappointed with this establishment. Definitely has changed over the years. From employees talking back to the manager to the manager not following his role as a leader. This location has no structure, lacks hygiene and customer service. Upon arrival I had a reservation for 8pm. I was told that they were running 20 min behind. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I waited 20, 30, 45 min and did not get seated neither did the host check in with me to ensure timings/seatings. While waiting I noticed couple families getting up and walking away from their tables as their orders were taking longer than expected. Staff were unprofessional; having their phones out and texting as they were in the kitchen handling food. For a birthday experience I was excited for, I left highly devastated. Walking away without getting the chance to eat or have a seat. I would not recommend anybody to come and dine here. Not worth the wait and definitely not worth the price. I’m surprised this establishment hasn’t closed down yet.

Waited over an hour with reservations they were out of salad out of onion stings soup was salty and cold . The food truck it is why waste your time with Benihana

Our chef was fabulous and funny! The food was amazing as always!

Our chef was entertaining BUT, overcooked our chicken fried rice, my lobster was overcooked our whole dinner was disappointing. In my opinion he needs to pay attention to the grill and ease up on the entertainment. We have been coming to the Torrance location for over 20 years...and unfortunately we will be looking for other options. The noise was unbearable. There was another chef with glasses that was so loud it made my whole tables dining experience misserarable. Also, bathrooms VERY VERY DIRTY!!!

We really enjoyed our chef. He was great, helpful and fun. He had us really laughing and the food was seasoned good!
