Torquay Fish and Chips

Best fish and chip shop in Torquay. Fish always fresh and great chips. Extremely friendly staff. The chunky flake is always a winner for me.

Stopped in for lunch on a G.O.R road trip. Friendly staff, great prices, fast service and delicious food. Would highly recommend.

The battered fish was very oily and the serve of grilled tasted like the batter had just been taken off a battered fish The pack only came with a very small handful of chips

This was the most under cooked fish and chips i have ever ever eaten. I visited here a year ago. Yes its changed. Unfortunately its got worse

Need I say more. Years ago we had a old greek family that had the fish and chip shop in town, best battered burgers. On Sunday at Torquay beach there was a guy a dog, ask him for a fish and chips recommendation, he said the place in gilbert st, greek people. I though ohh this should be good and it did not disappoint! Flat out busy, still nice and polite, food took 20 mins which was pretty good really. Flake nice, burgers good, great potato cakes and that wonderful battered burger!! Only downside at 2.20 a pop need to batter the scallops a bit better. Will definitely return when in the area.
