Yueh Tung Restaurant - Toronto

The restaurant offers good food with plenty of seating, including high chairs. When we visited with friends, we found it to be a relaxed and enjoyable environment. As vegetarians, we were pleased with the variety of options available and decided on the Eggplant Stir-fry with an extra side of rice. While parking downtown can be challenging, this hidden gem of a restaurant is worth a visit if you're in the area.

I travel from Aurora to enjoy their delicious food and exceptional hospitality. The staff is absolutely wonderful. I have been a regular at this restaurant for 30 years and absolutely love it.

The Manchurian Chicken is the best thing on a very good menu it’s worth, on its own, a trip to Toronto! The service at Yueh Tung has greatly improved. I almost stopped going there in the past because the service was regularly almost laughably bad but the Manchurian Chicken always tempted me back. Now it’s better service AND marvellous food.

I was just planning for a take-out. The owner was very friendly and recommended what to take knowing that I am from his city (Kolkata, India). He even made me taste the food before packing it. The service made me feel very special and the food brought me memories from home.

You'd think the restaurant would be pretty dead, pretty bad, pretty tired servers. Nope. Everyone was kind, full of energy and although it was nearing closing time, more people arrived as we left! Plenty of servers around to be very attentive but not in your face and they bring HUGE plates of food. Had their well-known Chili Chicken and it was fantastic! We also ordered an unusual....stay with me here....chicken and mackerel fried rice. It was SO good! Even the hot tea was solid. Drank nearly the whole lot by myself, it was so smooth and not bitter. Tip: I didn't see an elevator and the stairs could be tricky for some. Doing some studying on Hakka, I was unfamiliar with the people. Very interesting history, more than a little sad. So with so many to choose from, I believe we found a really good Chinese restaurant that night.
