Contribuiți la feedbackThe food is great but one big question is the food is Hala. I called the owner but she enabled to answer my question. For muslim guys please don’t eat food unless they provided at least Halah certificate.
The quality of service at this restaurant is declining. The tables are not being cleaned regularly and the portion sizes for takeout orders are smaller compared to dining in. When we requested an additional rice bowl to accompany our three meals, they mixed all the rice together in one plate, making it difficult to know if we received the correct amount. This lack of attention to detail is disappointing. The restaurant should focus on improving their customer service, especially since their meals used to be so appetizing just a few months ago.
They claim to have Halal food options (which You as a customer have to mention you want Halal meat When ordering). They don 't have a halal food certificate and when asked about their source for halal meat, they show you a name and number Al Mahdi Halal meat written on a Styrofoam cup. When I called the Al Mahdi Halal meat phone number, some Asian lady answered (not being racist here but saying it just based on the accent over the phone). She had no idea when I asked about Halal meat. If you search up Al Mahdi Halal meat on Google, some location in scarborough pops up and it mentions Halal meat wholesale and Pork meat wholesale. HONESTLY, IT is not adding up to me) Please do NOT buy any HALAL food options from here. Very skeptical of them and it 's Sad that people will say anything just to attract customers that like to eat Halal food. Please do your own due diligence (ask for halal certificate/ source of halal meat) when buying any Halal food from any restaurant folks.
I highly recommend trying the chili fish combo with extra gravy at this restaurant. It's only $10 and you won't regret it. I have been enjoying this dish for the past three years and it never disappoints.
I ordered the noodles, rice, and soup at this restaurant. I found the noodles and rice to be average, nothing special. However, the hot and sour soup had a terrible taste. It seemed like they made a large batch of soup and served it to everyone like they were just pouring water from a jug. The service was just as bad as the soup. They took payment before serving the food, and once the food was on the table, they disappeared so you couldn't ask for anything. I had to go to the front desk in the middle of my meal to ask for a spoon and salt. Additionally, the red sauce (chutney) was bitter, indicating it had likely gone bad and been left out for more than 2 days.
