You should not go for atmosphere or a really comfortable seat, but the service was friendly and we have a pretty amazing amount of food for the bargain price. All enjoyed eating with their hands, especially my children, and the garlic rice, seafood, spits and vegetables were freshly tasted and hot when they arrived at the milk fish, especially, was excellent. (I would definitely recommend the bangús about the tilapia. We were completely happy with us. A jewel for funny loving families!
Our first visit was everything we hoped for. We made a reservation on Sunday for lunch and were happy that we did as it was very busy. We ate tons of food in a casual atmosphere. Service was excellent. We had the $15 per person... recorder with Tilapia. You consume your food with your hands and pay cash. With two soft drinks we paid $45 including taxes and tips. Great value and near the subway. Take the Sherbourne underground station over Glen Road and there.
You pretty much eat the meal with your hands. Filipino cuisine and very authentic. Always busy on the weekend. Very inexpensive price for the menu items. Staff is knowledgeable and can help you with selection.
The restaurant can only accommodate a few customers at a time and parking is a little problem. We have to wait about 45 minutes for it was a busy place. The table was covered with banana leaves and it serves as your plate. You eat...with your glove hands. The food was mostly grilled as the restaurant name implied (Tinuno) and tasteful. It was a new experience for some of us.
Filipino food authentically served on banana leaves with no utensils gloves are provided if you don’t want to get food on your fingers. fish than I could eat for CAD15.
