Contribuiți la feedbackThis restaurant offer two choices of omakase courses… the difference is the Wagyu sukiyaki. The fish is great but toro and uni are extra charges. The experience is a positive one but with two minor complaints. I picked the sushi bar seating but the way they operate, pretty much not much difference in dining table seating where different sushi chef made different portion of the sushi course about 5-10 min ahead of time and I felt no connection with any sushi chef when sitting at sushi counter. I also found the sushi has too much rice in it in my opinion. It’s still a good experience all in all… the service staff are super friendly and attentive!
My honest review after eating at many different Omakase restaurant. After seeing 4.8 out 5 with many reviews I expected it to be WoW. Our seatings was at 6pm at the bar where you can see the chef make the food for you. If seatings are at 6pm always usually arrives 10 mins early so dinner can start right away, but doors didn't open till 6pm. The whole dinner felt like we were looking at the back of the chef's not an Omakase experience. Fish weren't as fresh for the price and the Uni color was definitely not right especially coming from Japan. Fish were chewy and felt like it was in the fridge for a few days. For a set price between 160 to 200 and no uni included felt quite expensive. Also repeated of fish during the course. The service staff were great though, always refilling tea and taking plates away.
Came with my partner for his birthday and we had a wonderful experience. On par with many great omakase restaurants in Toronto. All the menu items were well thought out and the sashimi and nigiri very fresh and delicious. I left feeling quite full. They have a good sake menu. Ambiance is very chill and relaxing. The sushi chefs are all so sweet and chef Kaji himself hilariously animated. It was very clear the staff enjoy making sure you have a great time.
Got to finally try this place!!I was so excited my partner booked this place and it met my every longing expectation. Food was great for omakase at this price point. Decent portion and a unique beverage selection. My partner enjoyed the non alcoholic option very much. This omakase counter feels very spacious which gives more privacy than other omakase bars. There wasn’t much interaction with the chefs but they were attentive and great service overall.I leave 4 stars review as I feel like sushis were of similar palette (creamy, fatty side of things and a repeated garnish) than more variety. Can’t wait to go back!
Great place, was able to make a last minute reservation and pleasantly surprised. Compared to other omakase in Toronto, I love Kaji's portions and consistency.
