Contribuiți la feedbackI recently had some of the best Italian food at this restaurant. We decided to share two prix fixe specials. One included a Caesar salad, mushroom and chicken risotto, and a tartufo. The other had a mixed green salad, chicken Parmesan, and tiramisu. The salads were fresh and delicious, especially the Caesar with its light dressing. The main courses were also delicious and generous, with the risotto standing out as one of the best I've ever had. The tartufo was a perfect ending to our meal, and we took the tiramisu home for later. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, even with us dining with a young child. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I have ordered the seafood platter here multiple times and it is consistently fresh and delicious. My boyfriend has also tried a variety of pasta dishes and has enjoyed them all. The portions are a good size for the price.
I will definitely return! I visited this restaurant on a cold night in February to celebrate a friend's birthday. It exceeded all of our expectations. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the service was friendly and quick, and the food was delicious. The $25 prix fixe menu was a fantastic value and the portions were generous. Despite all of us having had rough workdays, we left feeling content and at ease.
The Price Was Right – And More. E: If Sambuca Grill’s name doesn’t give it away the menu posted at the restaurant’s gate will. Antipasti, meat, pizza and wines are on the menu. Italian it is.<br/ The Prix Fixe for $15 seemed like a good option given how it comprised of a decent selection.<br/ The appetizer options were Tomato Dill Soup substituting for Butternut Squash), Mixed Baby Greens, Roasted Almond, Avocado, Mandarin Orange And Pepper Salad and Wild Mushroom Crustini With Garlic Cream and Crostini. Notice the spellings here.<br/ The mains were Penne With Tiger Shrimp Pasta, Tilapia With Roasted Red Pepper, Potato And Broccoli, Lamb Shank Cooked With Red Wine And Tomato Served With Potato And Broccoli, Chicken Breast Stuffed With Roasted Red Peppers, Asiago Cheese And Spinach Topped with Sun Dried Tomato Pesto Cream With Potato And Broccoli and Breaded Veal Parmigiana Coated With Melted Parmesan And Mozzarela Served With Fusilli. I suppose I could have omitted typing ‘with potato and broccoli’ over and over.<br/ The dessert options were Almond Mocha Tatufo French Sorbet And Italian Ice Cream With Whipped Cream and Strawberry Panna Cotta.<br/ How was the meal? Was the food as healthy and worthwhile as the acai “World's No 1 Antioxidant' yeah right) advertised in the window of the supplement store across the street? The Tomato Dill soup was tasty and just tangy enough even if it was bristling with lots of dill just right. The glazed baked potato was crisp and as delicious as baked potato likely can be. The chicken was dry, but the sauce helped as did the cream, red pepper and the bitter cheese inside. One wishes for more stuffing however. The dessert looked like chicken, it had a frozen chicken mushroom look but thankfully didn't taste like chicken, with its nuts crushed around ice cream and chocolate sauce. By this time I barely finished it. The waitress was acknowledging when I opined how I did not like it as she took away the vacant glass.<br/ <br/ A: It was busy and noisy, but two tables and seats were available outside nonetheless. Patrons are almost nose to nose with the neighbouring patios and hence the noise. There were also several available tables inside. It was ideal patio weather. There was very little sunshine, as it was an overcast day, there was no wind and it was warm. Everyone had the same idea.<br/ The restaurant is fronted by a white on black marquee that is stylish. There is a decent attempt at decoration inside.<br/ <br/ T: They ask you to sit wherever you want. ‘Julia’ was very quick to offer the menu and even quicker to ask for the order. Not being ready for her, she came back again and obtained the lunch order; only beating her colleague who also came by to take the order by moments. The quality check was also so prompt that the waitress noticed the main has not been touched yet.<br/ Meals and water refills arrived promptly until it was dessert time. That took a little longer. What took a few minutes was the bill. By that time the restaurant was mostly empty and the waitstaff had also disappeared alongside the lunch crowd.<br/ Parking in the Baldwin Village is never fun. Incidentally, walked by Kinton Ramen and the line up was where it always was. The newly opened Ryus boasted no such line up then again to begin with the idea of beef ramen seems anathema).<br/ <br/ S: The three black clad waitresses were workmanlike plus. There was an appropriate level of politeness and personality there. There was a quality check and helpfulness when asked. They were, however, quite busy on a packed lunch hour. It is unfortunate that they were nowhere to be found for five to ten minutes at get the bill to the customer time.<br/ The basement washroom was clean and the premises were clean.<br/ They do not have umbrellas, choosing to rely on the mature trees to provide shade, but sitting outside and eating at Sambuca is an agreeable experience.
Great Food Pizzas. It's a great place to go when the weather is nice and the Baldwin village is buzzing. Absolutely lovely time sitting out on the patio. <br/ <br/ The pizzas are awesome, and have tried the salmon and rack of lamb dishes both amazing. <br/ <br/ Awesome would totally recommend.
