Piazzetta Trattoria - Toronto

We placed orders for four pizzas, pasta, and the sea bass main course. However, tilapia was served. The fact that they would be serving tilapia rather than sea bass was not disclosed by the server. When the server heard from us, she verified with the manager and sent both plates back (they obviously knew they were not serving the fish listed in the menu). The pizza was okay!When we got our bill they charged us for the fish and again had to inform the server about it. She acknowledged it and adjusted the bill, however they charged the tax on the original amount. We again had to ask the server to revise the bill to reflect the correct charge.

The experience of going to Piazzetta Trattoria has been incredible, I had never before had the opportunity to go to an authentic Italian restaurant and its food has been of exceptional quality, everything very delicious, the place was very clean and the attention with its clients It is incredible, 5 stars very deserved.

Not like it used to be. In the 2000s this was my favourite pizzeria but since then the quality has greatly diminished. Management has changed is likely the reason.I booked a table in advance for a birthday and asked for a dessert with candle be brought out at the end. The service was poor despite the restaurant not being full and plenty of service staff.The pizza was tasteless. They didn’t top up our water or ask to refill our drinks. They didn’t take our main order till we asked after our appetizer was eaten. The antipasto dish was poorly presented it used to be carefully set up on a wood board, now it’s enough food for 6 people and consists of 2 plates seemingly straight from a can. And worst part, the birthday candle request didn’t happen.Very disappointed!

We eat at this Italian restaurant frequently now. Our children love the pizza, and the staff is always friendly and charming. The wood oven is what makes the difference here. One of the few authentic Italian restaurant in North Toronto with really tasty food and wine!

I went to this joint thinking it was going to be good, and somehow my expectations were excelled. This joint isn't good, it's incredible. The atmosphere is very Italian, which hits home and the attention that the servers and owner give you are beyond good. If you ever go to Toronto make sure to go this amazing joint.
