Occasions Restaurant Nite Spot

During my meal, a customer came in to complain about her salad, which was a takeout order. She was aggressive and rude, but I was impressed by how the staff handled the situation with professionalism. My server was friendly and personable, and I'm grateful to have such a great dining option in my neighborhood.

What sets this restaurant/pub/sports bar apart is the kitchen staff's rare consistency in delivering excellent food. No matter what I ordered, it was always top-notch. The hospitality in the restaurant may vary from fair to excellent, but overall it is a popular dining spot in East Toronto, located on Lower Gerrard St. E near Coxwell. I would rate the food a 8.7, service a 7.2, and atmosphere a 7 out of 10. The kitchen staff really shines at this place, they are so reliable! I enjoy their selection of bottled beers and their cold beer cooler is top-notch. The pub side is also very welcoming and serves food from the same kitchen. Overall, a great spot to dine and unwind. Bravo!

I worked 30 years ago in this restaurant and always thought that occasions eating was amazing. I went to dinner last night with friends and I have to say that eating is still absolutely spectacular. my biggest problem was to decide what to eat. as they have the best ripening, souvlaki, calves, bratkartoffeln and garlic bread they will ever have. I chose the kalbsparmigiana and was just as I remembered. the portion sizes are ridiculously large and rarely seen in restaurants in these days, and I can assure them that they find no better price for what they get there. it was just a perfect meal. service was excellent and friendly and the atmosphere is exactly what they want when they go out, its comfortable, very pleasant to the eye and the food and the prices are just as many years ago and I promise them that is a great thing. berufen are still owned by the same family and they have retained the incredible traditions and recipes that were launched by the original owner and chef. when they have eaten here, they know exactly what I say is true and if they don't, I suggest they go out or get out, and that will be their new favorite place. cordial gratitude john and angelo that they keep the menu so and make the restaurant and lounge so inviting for their guests. Have lunch here frequently and the menu which has been memorized by myself contains a full variety of real food beyond pub fare. Well prepared and bounteous servings.
