Nuit Social - Toronto

My experience at this restaurant was unpleasant. Upon walking in, we were hit by the strong smell of rancid cooking oil. The staff did not acknowledge it, so we avoided ordering anything that required deep frying. The food we did receive was decent, except for the Buffalo brussel sprouts which were surprisingly good and the only reason for my two-star rating. The entire meal was tainted by the smell of rancid oil, which lingered on our clothes until the next day. A restaurant with such a problem should have closed for the day and undergone professional cleaning to eliminate the odor. I understand that restaurants are facing challenges during the lockdown, but this level of cleanliness is unacceptable.

This restaurant has really declined in quality while increasing prices. It used to be a favorite spot for years, but I will not be returning. They were known for their unique and high-quality charcuterie boards, even during the pandemic, with excellent service. However, now they are extremely overpriced and the quality has decreased. It seems like they are using pre-packaged, pre-cut meats from the grocery store and the portions of cheese are so small that they are practically shaved petals that would typically be used as a garnish.

Our experience at Nuit Social was fantastic! The two staff members were friendly, the food was delicious, and the wine selection was amazing (I need to return to purchase a few bottles!). My absolute favorite dish was the Buffalo brussel sprouts. The tiramisu was also delightful. We will definitely be returning!

Very much a social experience in terms of the setting. I regret not bringing a couple of friends to tackle one of the charcuterie boards they have here. Wasn’t ideal for date night, but probably a great time with a bunch of friends looking for dinner and drinks. Staff was really friendly!

Excellent food and friendly owner ! Exploring on Queen West and we found this little diner looked popular. It 's not just a restaurant, but a cocktail bar also, as it 's named for social . I 'm surprised by the price there, it 's a good deal! Must try the Charcuterie Plate and Pork Ribs.
