The food at Montecito is always delicious and the overall dining experience is exceptional! I have an anaphylactic allergy and they are able to easily cater to my dietary needs beautifully. We are repeat customers at Montecito. Last night, our waitress (Rebecca) was amazing. She was so friendly, kind, caring, and attentive throughout the entire evening. Make sure to try the plum sorbet for dessert! We had it for the first time and I can't stop thinking about it.
Arrived earlier at the end of am, fell on this restaurant whose terrace attracted us. without knowing how it worked we found ourselves in the restaurant that is separated from the terrace corner. have very well eaten especially after about 15 days at the canada where the kitchen is away from the French cuisine. the very friendly waitress offered us to help us explain the dishes and make the effort to speak French for our girls who did not understand much. The restaurant's setting is superb or even at first a bit guindé but it goes very well
Though the food was nice, the horrible service spoilt the whole experience. My cousin specifically phoned beforehand to check that Summerlicious was available and was told that it was, but when we arrived it was only the brunch menu. The manager was extremely rude to us and asserted that we had made the mistake. We were not offered any concession given that it was their mistake. Though it was not busy at all, it took forever to get our drinks. And when we asked for the remaining food to take out, the waitress didnt bring it to our table and didnt inform us that we needed to pick the food up from the hostess and we then waited for ages for anyone to show up at the hostess station to get our take out.
We went here with a group of 10. 3 ordered the pork belly dish, one mussels fettuccine, another salmon, one pizza, 2 beef, and 2 the ricotta stuffed ravioli.I got the ravioli as I don't do mussels. I should've have got the salmon! The peas were too crunchy and hard almost like frozen peas. The dish needed a rose or cream sauce as it was bland. I was still hungry so I ordered the scallops appetizer. This was good but for 20 bucks I got 2 average size scallops and 5 asparagus sticks. They were cooked perfect. I also had a 5 oz glass of wine and my bill came to 74.00 including tip! Yikes!?(one person). I could've gone to many other non chain places- had good food and been full. Some others had dessert and said it was good but 50 percent of table wouldn't go back. One of us had a virgin cocktail and when I asked why they charged her 15 dollars when there was no alcohol, he went on about it was made in house and something about the rhubarb coming from Niagara. Really!? Not cool. Save you dough and go somewhere else nice. Kinda overpriced for what you get.
