Mix Bistro Bar - Toronto

I was not impressed with this restaurant. The seating was uncomfortable, the TVs were small and hard to see from most angles, and the bartender was rude and inattentive.

My experience at this restaurant was incredible. I ordered the three-course meal special and each course was absolutely outstanding. The service was excellent as well.

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed Bartender Maria! She was a delightful woman who shared local tips and crafted incredible cocktails. The piano player also contributed to the wonderful atmosphere. A delightful discovery in our hotel.

Located at Hyatt Regency. Good small plate options for a drink and bite. In heart of entertainment district. Convenient if you are staying at hotel.

I visited this restaurant 2 years ago and it was amazing. I went back this past weekend, Oct 18.We had the butternut squash soup and mussels for appetizers. The soup was luke warm, and the mussels were almost non existent. I have never seen so many small mussels. Would advise not to get the mussels.The entree was ok. The food lacked presentation, but the seafood pasta was tasty. They need to know that pasta is cheap. Don't skimp. The other dish wash Halibut. The halibut was sitting on a bed of rice, which was tasteless. Once again, don't skimp on the rice. Pasta and rice are cheap. We both still felt hungry, and loaded up on their herb bread, which was very good.I was so looking forward to coming back to this place, but after our recent experience, I wouldn't. I asked if it was the same chef as they had 2 years ago. Apparently not, and that explains the lack of flavor in some of the dishes.The waiter was not very attentive. I had the mussels and didn't get a bowl to put them empty ones in, until I asked.
