3.5/5, +.5 for service It's not everyday where you can find an excellent French restaurant in Toronto at a relatively affordable price. Midi Bistro is a
Food: good (seafood risotto) but not amazing for the price Atmosphere: very small restaurant, quiet, and so would not be great for larger groups.
We visited this restaurant as a group during Winterlicious. The service was fantastic and everyone loved their appetizers. I personally had the French onion soup, which was delicious. The portion sizes were generous. For dessert, I tried the creme brulee, but found it a bit too dense for my liking. However, my spouse really enjoyed it and had no problem finishing mine. Overall, we had a great experience with the food, service, and atmosphere, and would definitely consider returning in the future.
Oh dear… I suspect the fries are from McDonald's. My friend's appetizer, the cassoulet escargot, tasted like watered-down Alfredo sauce with mushrooms. My own appetizer was mediocre, a pate that I could have bought from the grocery store. However, I was pleased with my dish of fish and chips, which was quite delicious and satisfying. The other dish we ordered was mussels in a tomato soup. The creme brulee was just ok.
