Mangia & Bevi - Toronto

The restaurant is not as it appears in the pictures and reviews. It seemed upscale but had more of a diner-like atmosphere. We chose to sit outside, where it felt like a diner in the dark. The pizza looked good at first, but it was dry and bland. We had to ask for oil to soften it, which took a while to receive. The prices were too high for the quality. Our meal of an appetizer and two pizzas cost over $80, without drinks, dessert, or coffee. We went somewhere else for dessert and coffee. The service was okay, but it took a long time for our requests to be fulfilled, even though the restaurant was not busy and we had multiple servers.

Amazing eating, simple menu and real service. $20 corkage if they did their own what we did. everything was nice, it's a hidden gem.

The food was good. service was very good. the ambiente was good.

Our server was especially knowledgeable about wine. He introduced us to a few wines that we had never tried before and made a perfect suggestion for our dinner wine. It was a great experience.

The service quality and level are not up to professional standards.
