La Brasserie - Toronto

My wife and I had dinner at the La Brasserie. It was a very uneventful meal. Tge food was edible but lacking any imagination and character. The lunch which we ate at the adjacent bar was frankly a better experience. The restaurant shares the same well-warn characteristics as the rest of the Crown Plaza. I wish we had eaten our dinner at one of the chain restaurants located nearby.

Went for dinner once and breakfast twice.Service is very prompt and attentive. Dinner was ok but I was tired and hungry. Asked the server about the salmon or steak which is better. They didn't have an opinion. :)Breakfast 1: Eggs Benedict. Poached eggs were unevenly cooked half done as expected the other half was overdone. overall ok.Breakfast 2: Buffet. Consists of chicken sausage, sausage, pancakes, potatoes ,bacon and scrambled eggs. Scrambled eggs better than expected the bacon was ok standard buffet bacon. The sausage seemed lacking in flavor. Pretty good.

Had breakfast here 1 person had the buffet the other ordered off the menu was very good for the value

There was a Cockroach in the bacon and the waitress told us that they spray for that sort of thing all the time so she was surprised to see the cockroach

During my recent trip to the Crowne Plaza Hotel Toronto Airport, I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant and bar facility several times. I was very impressed with the service and the wide assortment of selections on the menu. I often shy away from the hotel restaurants as they tend to be extremely pricey. This was certainly not the case. I chose the house chardonnay which was fine. A little expense at $9.00 per glass for an ordinary tasting and six-ounce quantity. The **** Marys were very tasty and very well priced. I enjoyed Tony's Gourmet Pizza 10" for $13.00. It was a basic pizza, but your choice of gourmet toppings could be added for $.90 each. What is very impressive is the fact that you can enjoy a very filling meal for a reasonable price. I was not impressed with the breakfast hours as if you are an early riser, you are out of luck and that includes room service, which is not available before six am. I will visit The Crowne Plaza again and will definitely enjoy the fare at this restaurant again.
