Karbouzi Bar & Grill - Toronto

After completing my regular grocery shopping I decided to pop into this new specialty European grocery store.

I know this Greek joint well! Friendly staff and clientele alike. They don't always do a prime rib dinner (not on the everyday menu) but if you happen to be around when they do, it'll be hands down the best you've ever had! The Greek food there is great but the prime rib is second to none!

This family run Greek taverna has items I have not seen on other menus (eg) sausage with orange peel, lamb-burger, home-made by "old Greek guys." Portions are huge, tasty and very reasonable. The Greek beer, Fit, was also very rich and tasty.

If you can't make it to the Danforth, Karbouzi is your next best option. Fresh, quality greek food in a convenient uptown location. 20 years on Avenue...enough said. Enjoy!

Look this restaurant has been here for years so it must be doing something right, it just, well didn't feel like i was in a Greek Restaurant.Just after Christmas, very quiet, little atmosphere. Service mediocre, poor menu knowledge.Menu, standard Greek offerings, and i have to say whilst presentation was very basic, the food was tasty, in fact Chicken Souvlaki very tender and tasty. Trio of dips, simple but tasty. Moussaka very good, but cold, returned, came back cold!!I might be back, but not sure, maybe go over to GreekTown.
