Contribuiți la feedbackAs vancouverite I have a personal favorite anomkase restaurant in vancity, but I would say that this place is so far my favorite in toronto. I didn't expect much for the starter that comes in the rule with omakase, but I must definitely mention this. I think it was called ankimo, leber when a fish. It was warm and tasted like foie grass and after research, it turned around that this was known as the ocean version of foie. concerning the hauptsushi were all very tasteful, but my favorite was hamachi. once everything was served, we asked the cook for a recommendation for tonight and he offered masago prepared with Yuzu sauce. also the additional sushi tasted good. I'd have to visit toronto next time.
I hate to leave low reviews, but really had the worst/ worst culinary experience of my life here. we were 15-20 minutes too late for our reservation, which is in fact our fault, but they treated us badly all the time after and made passive aggressive remarks. if it is not enough time to do the whole omakase, they just let us know np, but we were only treated badly. we were not even offered water, and they gave us the bottle of the will to open ourselves. the poor service really ruined my birthday.
Amazing! the sushi was very tasty and fresh (we ordered more according to our set menu) chef was very friendly and overall a wonderful experience. comes back in definitiw! also mentioned some reviews, as the restaurant did not have a smell etc. at all! the restaurant was very clean and pleasant to be! highly recommended.
First, that was my first Omakase experience, so I don't have any other omakase to compare. it was a pleasant experience, however. for $66.00 plus applicable tax, at the time of my visit, they receive about twelve dishes in the course of 35 minutes. then they can get at the end optional $8.00 and/or $15.00 dishes. considering that many all-you-can-eat sites around $30.00 per person also during the evenings, the prices are quite steep, but it is a completely different experience. a highly qualified professional cook, instead of a part-driver, makes her sushi right in front of them. also the species and the quality of the fish are very different. as a result, I found the time and the money to be worth it at least once if they have never tried omakase. if they are an expert, I am quite sure that this place will not cut it, as many other omakase places are easy three times or four times the price per person. the chef seemed to be great to educate people about omakase, which after him was the reason why he offered it to such a reasonable price. So, again, it was a pedagogical and unique experience for someone like me who had never had anomakase. Nevertheless, there were some disadvantages. on the one hand, the cook stares you down after he passes you a sushi, and it can be a little unpleasant for some. next, the chef is the only one who works there, so he is the one who serves them drinks, at the same time he makes their sushi.
For $65 you really can’t go wrong. The selection is fresh and well thought out, and is a great intro to omakase. The eel is the best I’ve ever had.Kaito Sushi removes the frills and focuses on the quality of the food. The decor is simple and the setting is very intimate.
