Oh my god, every item we ordered in the menu was a joy. the standout was the monkfish pâte; simply but so tasteful! the staff was beautiful, and the vibes were very cool and relaxed. I was surprised how quickly the place filled = 1 hour after opening, so either come early or make a reservation if you want to sit.

My favourite spot in the city, and somewhere I’ve been going since 2017. Whenever I go here, I know I’m going to have amazing food, good experience and the warm homey atmosphere imanishi is know for. Perfect for date night, drinks with friends or even a quick solo curry or Katsu. Cannot recommend this place enough.

SO. DAMN. GOOD. Everything we are was 10/10 aka you will not be disappointed. Loved the vibe, low key , hip, intimate but in a casual way?Pictured is the shrimp, cilantro salad, silken tofu and avo salad and red snapper. Also had the curry spring rolls, corn karaage and of course dessert: fried Japanese milk bread with taro ice cream. Run don’t walk.

Please make a reservation, otherwise unlikely to get a table. Went on a Friday night and it was very busy. We tried so many items. Will share what I remember below: -monkfish liver pate was amazing -cucumber salad was refreshing and quite simple -karaage was tasty -cold gailan , was just ok. Came w a sesame sauce -curry was overpriced. It was sauce and rice -fried ebi , very big and ok -mackerel was good. I liked the sauce it came in -trout carpaccio was tasty and fresh -ribs, fall off the bone and highly recommend!! Get the dessert! Fried milk bread w taro root icecream was the perfect finish. Great experience to go with friends to try a large variety of small bites!

Legendary spot. Corn tempura was the understated standout of the meal but it was all amazing. Everything felt like it had thoughtful layers of sweet, salty and savoury in the best way possible. First time having Japanese food but if this is the standard for pub fare then they're YEARS ahead of us lol
