Gurume Sushi - Toronto

The service and food were both fantastic! I called ahead to check if they took reservations, but they only accept walk-ins, which worked out for us since there were plenty of tables available when we arrived on Saturday night. I ordered the sushi dinner, a chicken tempura bento, and a special dynamite roll. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the sushi was prepared with great attention to detail, with generous portions. This place has quickly become one of my favorite sushi spots in downtown!

I've been living in Toronto for a month, and Gurume Sushi is by far the best meal I've had so far—nothing else even comes close. The fish is incredibly fresh and flavorful, the rice is perfect, and the gyoza is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, bursting with deliciousness. It is a bit more expensive than your typical sushi spot, but trust me, you absolutely get your money's worth.

Gurume offers fresh and delicious sushi, crafted with a meticulous attention to detail. While it may not surprise you with out-of-the-ordinary flavors or combinations, the restaurant consistently delivers on taste and quality. Everything we tried was fresh, thoughtfully packaged, and expertly prepared. The rolls were an ideal size, and the rice-to-topping ratios were spot on. The oshizushi was among the best I've ever experienced. Portion sizes were satisfactory, but I felt the value could be improved. Although the quality of the ingredients surpasses that of all-you-can-eat or less expensive places, I've encountered a few other restaurants offering similar, if not slightly better, quality at a lower price. That being said, I still believe the prices at Gurume are reasonable for the quality provided, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.

Absolutely delicious! It was my first time at the restaurant, and the staff were incredibly courteous and friendly. They took our order quickly, and the food came out even faster. The sushi was fresh, and the flavors were outstanding! I had the aburi sushi while my mother opted for the fried tofu bento box. I’d definitely return again and again! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Toronto!

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant, with both exceptional service and delicious food. While the prices were somewhat high, the quality of the fish surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend the sashimi dinner; the fish cuts are outstanding, especially the salmon and butterfish, which were particularly tasty. The meal comes with a serving of rice, and the miso soup was quite enjoyable, as was the side salad. Don’t forget to finish your meal with a Sapporo!
